About us
The IELTS Writing Correction Service
We are an independent service built around one job: marking your IELTS writing the way an examiner would, then telling you exactly how to push your band up. No course, no guesswork, no automated band predictor — a qualified teacher, marking by hand.
What we do
You send one piece of writing — a Task 1 or a Task 2 — or a full exam pair. We mark it against the four IELTS criteria: Task Achievement or Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. You receive a band estimate for each, plus specific, practical notes on what is holding your band down. Corrections come back within 48 hours.
We cover both Academic and General Training. For Academic, Task 1 is a chart, graph, or process description; for General Training, it is a letter. Task 2 is an essay in both modules.
How we work
A teacher, not an algorithm
Every correction is read and marked by a qualified teacher. We explain the band you are at and the band you are reaching for, in plain terms.
Writing only
We do one thing: IELTS writing correction. Task 1 and Task 2, Academic and General Training. We do not stretch into Speaking, Reading, Listening, or other exams.
Honest estimates
We give you a band estimate per criterion based on what you wrote. We never promise a result on test day, because no one honestly can.
Meet Dr Mariam, our lead tutor
Corrections are led by Dr Mariam, who holds a PhD in English and has more than twenty years preparing students for English-language exams. She reads what you actually wrote, marks it against the published IELTS criteria, and shows you the difference between where your writing sits now and the band you need.
We are clear about what we are: an experienced, independent teaching team. We are not affiliated with IDP, the British Council, or Cambridge, and we do not claim to be official IELTS examiners. What we offer is honest, expert feedback on your writing.
